A life long dancer, I was lead to Pilates, like a lot of people because of an injury. I could tell immediately that the Method could help me balance strength and flexibility, improve my quality of life and add longevity to my dance career. I became a Stott Pilates certified instructor in 2005 and added the Pilates Method Alliance certification in 2011.
As an avid student I enjoy taking class regularly. I attend fitness and Pilates' conferences annually in order to maintain my certifications and fulfill continuing education requirements. My life long curiosity about all things pertaining to the body not only keeps me current and up to date on the latest research, it has given me the tools and experience to work with a variety of students, from beginner to advanced, all ages, special populations, and all types of chronic conditions and injuries. My goal is to help others reach their fitness goals, whatever they may be. My home studio includes all of the major Pilates equipment: a Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector Barrel and many small props to play and work with.
Prior to teaching Pilates I was a modern dancer and personal trainer/fitness instructor in New York City. I specialized in designing and implementing exercise programs fit to each of my client's individual needs and interests. I continue to do that today using the Pilates Method. No two classes or workouts are the same.
I received a BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan in 1989.
Whether you live in the area or are just visiting, I look forward to working with you either in your home, hotel room, place of business of my home studio
